About the Family Support Centre
Our Vision
Supporting families and students to overcome barriers
At Stoke Park School, our family support centre is committed to building strong, trusting partnerships between school, students, and families. We believe that families play a vital role in helping young people succeed in school and beyond. We are dedicated to building strong, respectful partnerships between home and school, working together to overcome barriers. In any family, we appreciate that at any time, problems may arise linked to finances, culture, family circumstances and attitudes towards school. This can have a detrimental impact on a student and their family’s sense of belonging and engagement with education. As a compassionate and trusted link, we provide guidance, advocacy, and practical support — ensuring that every student feels understood, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential, with their family by their side.
The Family Support Centre aims to:
Bridge gaps between home and school — ensuring open, respectful communication that strengthens trust and understanding.
Empower families and students — providing guidance and practical support to overcome challenges and re-engage with school and their sense of belonging.
Promote inclusion and equity — celebrating diversity and ensuring every family feels welcomed, valued, and heard.
Remove barriers to learning — working together to create pathways that help every student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Build resilient partnerships — fostering long-term collaboration that enables positive, lasting change for our students and their families.
