Dear Parent/Guardian,
I would like to start by introducing myself to you. My name is Mr Hughes, and I am the Head of Maths at Stoke Park School.
From this year we have decided to implement a new online Mathematics program to help support and boost your child's Mathematical ability. This is a very exciting platform as each question is bespoke to your child's ability and need. We will be setting homework on this platform for all the pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4. The homework will closely mirror what your child will be doing in lessons and each question will have a short video to help support them if they need it.
To help support your child, staff will be available in the Maths office every breaktime, lunchtime and after school. If your child has any issues with a question they can write it in their book and bring it to the office for help.
This week your child will be asked to log on and complete the introduction exercise. This will be due for Monday 25th September. Going forward Homework will be set each Monday and due in the following Monday. The homework will take around 40 minutes and all students will be expected to show their working out in their books and, as it is bespoke, students must achieve 100% each week.
I have included a short video which explains how your child can log in to the system. When they first log in, they do not need a username and they only need to enter their name and date of birth.
