Sport

Stoke Park School offers students the opportunity to excel in a wide variety of sports and to compete with their peers locally and nationally. Our high-quality teaching and coaching enable our students to make the most of their sporting talent or indeed find their new one.

Our ethos and vision within Physical Education is based upon achievement, enjoyment and excellence in all that we do.

At Stoke Park, we firmly believe in the importance of competition in motivating our pupils to give their best and strive for excellence. Our very extensive fixture programme provides competitive opportunities for all abilities no matter their background. Both boys and girls participate in local, regional and national competitions in sports including: Rugby, tennis, trampolining, netball, badminton and basketball. School games are a big part of Stoke Park where we have competed in both Athletics and Trampolining competitions. As well as, the Tennis tournament for the Road to Wimbledon.

A full programme of inter-form matches, Staff vs Student competitions and enrichment clubs underpins the school teams, giving students the opportunity to gain representative honours. Every year group has the chance to participate in these activities at break, lunch and after school.

There are regular sporting trips to world class events such as, the Badminton World Championships at the NEC Birmingham and to watch Manchester City in the Champions League. One highlight of our sporting calendar was hosting a Rugby Tournament for all local Secondary Schools in the area at our local Rugby Club.
