Technology College Status

Technology College StatusStoke Park specialist status is in Technology. Technology Colleges will promote an educational culture which is scientific, technological, enterprising and vocational. Our aims include providing innovative teaching supported by high quality facilities, more focused resources and better learning opportunities in subjects such as:

  • Design & Technology
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Information and Communication Technology

In each of these subjects we have for a number of years focused on providing excellent teaching with the intention of creating outstanding levels of pupil attainment. In keeping with the very nature of specialist schools, these subjects provide a strong lead in the way new and innovative teaching and resources are used, for example through elearning
software, online diagnostic testing and the frequent and imaginative use of multimedia
equipment and resources. Standards we set are high for all subjects and technology subject areas are expected to be at the forefront in enabling our young people to acquire the skills needed to progress into employment, further training and higher education according to their individual abilities, aptitudes and ambitions.
