Last night we had an amazing Open Evening – it was an excellent event that showcased the school’s expertise, enthusiasm and ethos. It made me very proud to see all our staff and students talking with such passion about what the school can offer to each student who joins us.
It came at the end of a very busy but very successful start to the school year. Years 7, 10 and 12 have risen to the new challenges that they face this academic year; Years 11 and 13 have set targets to raise the bar on the school’s recent record results and Years 8 and 9 have shown significant maturity as they continue their Key Stage 3 courses.
We have a marked increase in the number of clubs and enrichment activities on offer – please also remember that Homework club and ICT access is available before, during and after school. I expect to see more and more students here after 3.05pm making the most of all these opportunities.
If you are concerned about how the year has started or have a question about the year ahead for your son / daughter please do contact the school so we can address any concerns; however small you may think them, we are here to help.
