Welcome to Stoke Park School

Head Teacher

Dear parents and carers

As we enter the festive season and the end of term draws near I want to thank you for your continued support for the school. This term has had a number of high points and successes – for staff and students alike.

We will formally celebrate the academic year 2013-14 at our annual prize giving this week.

All year groups are working hard and those who have received written reports already can be proud of their achievements. As you know my philosophy is that school is about far more than the classroom and exams.

None of our success and year on year improvements would happen without a dedicated and hardworking staff team. Teachers and Support staff – classroom and office based – all make a contribution to the effectiveness of the school. There have been many opportunities offered to students by staff who have gone way beyond what is expected of them – including pastoral care; tuition after school; reading club; homework help; Duke of Edinburgh; sports, art and music and a wide range of trips, visits and curriculum enrichment events. Thank you to all who make these things happen.

I hope that you all enjoy a peaceful time over the festive season.

Matthew Pike
